Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 389

As West fell, his phone slipped from his grasp and clattered on the pavement. Marjorie picked it up, saw the three numbers on the screen, and let out a self-deprecating laugh. “The man who once loved me to the bone was about to call the cops on me. Heh.”

West’s phone wasn’t locked, so she went straight to his chat history with Janina and smiled. Then she typed out a message.

[Nina, I am feeling down. I will go for a walk to clear my head. Text you later.]

“Take him away,” Marjorie ordered one of the men in black.

At her command, two men emerged from the shadows. They dragged West’s unconscious body up from the ground and loaded him into a car.

The car sped north, heading into more and more remote territory.

Marjorie stared at the unconscious West. His long eyelashes cast a soft shadow on his cheeks, and for a moment, she cherished the sight. Gentle, quiet, handsome. Only when he was like this, so still and silent, were his thorns down, allowing her to get close.

But it didn't matter. After tonight, they would be together forever. No one would ever be able to separate them. They would be together for all eternity.

At this thought, a strange, triumphant smile appeared on Marjorie’s face.

Just as she was about to reach out and touch West’s face, her phone rang. She answered the call.

“Miss Marjorie, we’ve got him,” a low, raspy male voice said on the other end. “Should we hang him up now, or wait for you to get here?”

Marjorie gazed at the trees flying past the window, her eyes filled with hatred. Her red lips parted. “Now.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Clark’s muffled whimpers grew more frantic as he instinctively tried to shrink back, but the chair held him fast.

Marjorie seemed to enjoy his terrified expression. She walked over to him, looking down with an almost innocent smile. “Surprised to see me?”

Marjorie’s smile sent shivers down Clark’s spine. It had only been two months since they broke up. How had she become like this? Her smile was terrifying.

She reached out and ripped the tape from his mouth.

The moment it came off, Clark coughed violently, gasping for fresh air.

“Marjorie, what the hell? It’s you? Why did you kidnap me?” Clark finally processed the situation. His kidnapper was Marjorie. How could she dare? They had already broken up, and now she was coming after him! Oh, he got it. She must be short on cash and wanted him to give her money.
