Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 405

West slowly let go of Wendy.

He leaned his back against the wall, his hair soaked with cold sweat. His pale face was flushed with an unnatural heat.

He saw the dagger in Wendy's hand, and his crimson eyes flickered. "Quick… stab me."

Wendy didn't have any pepper spray in her bag. All she had was the dagger Maggie had given her, but she couldn't bring herself to use it.

"West, what if I find some cold water? Just try to hold on a little longer!"

Stabbing someone… she couldn't do it.

"There's no time, hurry…" West's voice was dangerously hoarse.

Seeing her hesitation, he suddenly snatched the dagger from her hand.

Without a second's thought, he sliced the sharp blade across his left palm.

Blood gushed out, streaming through the gaps between his fingers. The searing pain brought a sliver of clarity to his muddled mind.

Wendy was terrified by the gruesome sight.

Forcing herself to stay calm, she took the dagger back from West's blood-soaked hand.

She took a few steps back, not daring to get close to him again.

"Come on, we need to get out of here."

Wendy didn't dare to support him. She knew a drugged person wasn't thinking clearly. With West's reason hanging by a thread, it was safer to keep her distance.

But she had only taken two steps when she heard a muffled grunt from behind her.

She turned to see West struggling to get up, only to collapse back onto the floor, his strength failing him.

The drug was at its peak, and his body was so weak he couldn't walk on his own.

Wendy bit her lip. She had no choice but to go back and help him.

The moment she touched him, the desire that West had just managed to suppress surged back with a vengeance.

The man in her arms suddenly pinned her against the wall, his hot breath fanning across her neck. Wendy could feel his desire spiraling out of control.

"Quick, knock me out! Right now!" West's voice was desperate.

He dug his nails into his palm, trying to use the pain to stay lucid. He had a premonition that if this continued, he would lose his mind completely.

After a few impacts, a large bump had formed on West's forehead, but he was still conscious.

He hadn't passed out.

"Stop hitting yourself! Let's go downstairs and have Maggie hit you. She'll knock you out with one punch, for sure."

Wendy looked anxiously toward the staircase.

Suddenly, the sound of chaotic footsteps and sharp commands echoed from downstairs:

"Don't move! Police!"

The police were here.

A wave of relief washed over Wendy.

"The police are here! Wait just a minute, I'll get someone. We'll get you to a hospital right away."

With that, Wendy bolted for the door. She couldn't bear to be alone with West for another second. She'd have Maggie knock him out and then they'd get him to the hospital.

As she rushed past, West felt as if a magnetic force was pulling him toward her, an irresistible urge to reach out and touch.
