Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 498

After Wendy had a falling out with her parents, Janina, Maggie, and Melody had all invited her to spend the New Year with their families.

But Wendy refused, saying she was going to spend it with Felton.

They couldn't press the issue further. They all had reservations about Felton and had urged Wendy to look into that ten-million-dollar check.

However, on the day before the holiday break, while Wendy was on her way to the bank, Felton got into a minor car accident.

In the end, Wendy never made it to the bank. With the New Year starting the next day, the matter of the check was temporarily put on hold.

Who would have thought that two days later, a murder would occur?

Janina watched the video of Mr. Clifford's rampage.

Mrs. Clifford, Baron, and Mr. Clifford stood outside, knocking on Wendy’s door.

Soon, Wendy opened it.

She was wearing cute rabbit pajamas, and her face was a mask of shock and disbelief when she saw who was standing outside.

Clearly, she had not expected to see the family of leeches she never wanted to see again.

“What are you doing here? You're not welcome. I've already cut ties with you. From now on, we go our separate ways. Please leave.”

Wendy’s voice was ice-cold, her body blocking the doorway, her eyes filled with vigilance.

As she spoke, she moved to close the door.

Just as the door was about to shut, Mrs. Clifford, with lightning-fast reflexes, shoved it open and squeezed inside.

Then, Baron shoved the door wide open. His strength was greater, and Wendy was sent stumbling backward.

He grew more agitated as he spoke, his eyes bloodshot.

They had nowhere to go for the New Year, while Wendy was living in such an expensive apartment. He felt she had wronged him deeply.

He blamed Wendy for his current predicament. If it weren't for her, he could have made millions more over the past few days. It was the New Year, a perfect opportunity with high traffic, but Wendy had ruined it all.

The thought made his hatred for her intensify.

Baron raised a fist, looking like he wanted to beat Wendy to a pulp.

“The brands that wanted to partner with us are avoiding us like the plague now. That’s money! How are you going to compensate us, huh? You’re good at hiding, aren’t you? We almost couldn’t find you! You better give me ten million dollars today.

Otherwise, I’ll go after those little friends of yours! If you push me, I’ll do anything. I'll drag them down with me. I’ve got nothing to lose, I’m not afraid to die.”
