Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 518

The next thing he knew, everything went black, and he passed out cold.

Janina screwed the cap back onto the white bottle in her hand and looked at Maggie and Melody. "Let's get to work."

The three of them put on protective suits and disposable gloves. Janina and Maggie each grabbed one of Finch's arms and started dragging him forward.

"Well, well, you three have some nerve. Not worried you'll slip up?" Kenneth's voice came from the woods, making the three women jump.

"Jesus, Kenneth, are you a ghost? Popping out of the woods in the dead of night like that? You scared the hell out of us."

Maggie shot him a glare, feeling like she'd just been caught in the act.

"Hurry up and help. Why are you still here?" Janina glanced at him before continuing to drag Finch.

Kenneth walked over, grabbed Finch by the collar of his shirt, and started pulling him along as he answered Janina's question.

"I finished digging the pit and was about to leave, but then I thought, this doesn't feel right. Why would you ask me to dig a pit for no reason? Curiosity got the better of me, so I stuck around to see what you were up to."

He chuckled. "You're not planning to bury him, are you? I should warn you, that's illegal."

Janina stared at him, her face impassive. "We're just teaching him a lesson. You can go now. We don't need you anymore."

Kenneth replied, "Hey, you can't just burn the bridge after you've crossed it. I'm staying. A scumbag like him deserves to be punished."

They dragged Finch to the edge of the pit. Janina gave him a kick, sending him tumbling in.

The pain jolted Finch awake.

When he opened his eyes, he was met with Janina's cold, sharp gaze. He looked up and saw Maggie, Melody, and a strange man standing over him.

"Janina, what... what are you doing?" Finch pointed at them, his face darkening with rage.

"Ah! Get away! You're trying to kill me!"

Janina and the others ignored him, watching as he hopped around the pit like a flea.

After a few minutes of being swarmed by rats, Finch was on the verge of a breakdown.

Just then, he saw Kenneth approaching with a large burlap sack.

He opened it, and long, slithering things tumbled out.

Finch froze in terror. It was a writhing mass of countless intertwined snakes.

To be honest, the sight of the snakes and rats made even Janina and Melody a little scared.

But the thought of giving Finch the punishment he deserved tonight quickly eclipsed any fear they felt.
