By now, Finch was so tormented he was barely hanging on, with no strength left to struggle or resist. He was a limp doll for Molly to toy with.
At that moment, all he wanted was to die.
His rear felt like it had been ripped open, a searing agony worse than any surgery. The slightest movement sent waves of excruciating pain through him. He didn’t dare move a muscle, knowing that even twitching a toe would pull at the wounds.
He was drowning in regret.
Why did I ever go after Wendy Clifford?
These demonic women had destroyed his entire life. In that moment, all his pride and dignity were being defiled by a dog.
He wondered if the people in The Obsidian Circle would laugh at him if they knew of his pathetic state.
Just then, he heard Janina’s voice.
“Hello, 911? I’d like to report a crime…”
He, who had always feared the police, now desperately prayed for them to arrive quickly. The police were his saviors, his gods. Even prison was better than this.
He would tell them everything. He would make sure these women paid for what they’d done.
As he was mentally preparing his accusations against Janina and the others, he suddenly felt a tearing sensation in his groin.
His entire body was already alight with pain, so the initial rip was barely noticeable. He didn't realize what had happened.
But then the pain in his lower body intensified.
He weakly lifted his head and saw Molly staring at him, her eyes gleaming with excitement. In her mouth, she held a ragged piece of flesh.
Finch’s eyes widened in horror.
He instinctively looked down at his own groin.
The ambulance arrived quickly. The paramedics immediately began administering first aid to stop the bleeding. Even these professionals, accustomed to life-and-death situations, frowned at the sight of Finch’s injuries. “How did this happen?” one asked.
Janina stepped forward. “Molly bit him.”
The paramedic was speechless.
Two minutes later, a police car pulled up. Janina and the others were taken to the station for questioning.
At the police station, Janina handed over the evidence she had prepared.
“Finch is a member of The Obsidian Circle. He tricked my friend, Wendy Clifford, by pretending to be in a relationship with her. Now her family is destroyed.”
“There are eight other women he targeted. You can verify their stories. We just wanted to teach him a lesson. We took him out to the woods to scare him with some snakes and rats, but before we could do anything, he fell into the pit himself. The bite marks on his body are from the snakes.”
There were no cameras there, no evidence to prove they had pushed Finch into the pit. But she knew she couldn’t completely lie to the police. They could easily trace the source of the snakes and rats, so she admitted to preparing them.
