Lying in bed for a while, Julius decided he would settle the score with Yvonne as soon as he had recovered a little more. He could tolerate her playing with his feelings, but he could never forgive her for trying to harm Janina and the children.
Over the past few days, he'd had his people investigate Yvonne's actions against Janina. Although there wasn't direct evidence for some of her deeds, he knew it was her. It couldn't have been anyone else. Her cruelty was appalling.
He couldn't understand how a person could be so wicked, or how his mother could be so blindly protective of her, as if she were under a spell. This time, he would show no mercy.
The next day, after dinner, Julius instructed Wayne to come and pick him up. Wayne wanted to protest, to urge him to stay in the hospital and rest, but one look at Mr. Aurelius’s expression silenced him.
"Mr. Aurelius, are we going home?"
"The Majestic," Julius said coldly. The Majestic was one of the properties under Elena's name, the very place Yvonne was currently staying.
Wayne didn't know Julius was going there to confront Yvonne. He assumed his boss was going to see her and the child. After all, it had been nearly twenty days since Yvonne gave birth, and Mr. Aurelius hadn't seen either of them.
Wayne sighed internally, wondering what was going through his boss’s mind. If it were him, he would never forgive Yvonne. Not only did she cheat on Mr. Aurelius, but she had also framed Miss Holt and the children multiple times. A woman that wicked was best kept far away. As for her child, he would demand a paternity test immediately. If it was his, he'd keep the child. If not, she and the baby could get out. He certainly wouldn't be raising another man's child.
Thinking of this, Wayne found it strange. Yvonne's lover was his mother's driver, Farmer. Yet his mother hadn't blamed Yvonne at all and had even given Farmer a vacation.
Wayne gripped the steering wheel, sneaking a glance at Julius in the backseat, and quickly shut down his train of thought. He couldn't begin to unravel the twisted dealings of the wealthy.
