“I’d sooner stay single forever than marry a guy like him.”
Dylan knew that about her, and no matter how much he liked Linda, he never made a move. She was different from all the women in his past.
Even if he was willing to walk away from every other woman just to be with her, Linda still wouldn’t give him a chance. She thought he was too much of a playboy, with too many notches on his belt.
What Linda wanted was real loyalty, someone who was all in.
Dylan knew he couldn’t promise that, so he kept his distance.
“I’m really not in a rush anyway. I’m still young. Even my brothers aren’t settled down, so why should I hurry? The universe has always been good to me, and I trust that sooner or later, the right guy will show up.”
Linda grinned. “When it’s finally your turn to marry Harold, I’ll be your bridesmaid. When you throw the bouquet, aim for me, okay? I want a little taste of your happiness. They say the person who catches it will be next to get married. Maybe I’ll meet my soulmate at your wedding.”
Isabella’s cheeks flushed pink. “Geez, slow down. Harold and I just made our relationship official. Marriage is a long way off. We’re thinking at least two years of dating before we even talk about that. I’ve learned my lesson, and I want to be careful this time.”
“Let’s focus on making our own money first. The more we earn, the more freedom we’ll have. I don’t ever want to rely on a guy’s mood to get by. No man is as dependable as my bank account. Honestly, I just love having my own money.”
Isabella laughed. “You’re already loaded, and you still love money that much?”
“Who doesn’t want more? If you ever get bored of yours, just send it my way, I’ll take care of it for you.”
