Finally hearing something he liked, Adrian’s expression softened slightly. “So I get some credit for this?”
“Not entirely…” Daniel hesitated. “It all depends on how your wife reacts to the situation.”
Adrian’s head began to throb again. There was nothing more difficult than understanding Isabel. He blamed himself for being so reckless in the past.
“You keep an eye on things over there and report any developments to me immediately. Also, keep an eye on the investment partnership for her. Delegate the rest of the company’s affairs to the secretarial department.”
Daniel agreed.

Aurelia City.
After hanging up on Adrian, Isabel immediately called Evelyn, but her phone was off. She must be on the plane.
“I have to make a trip.”
She hadn’t gone with them earlier because she felt you could only ever trust half of what Julian said. Evelyn had a different personality and would likely handle the situation well, so Isabel had stayed behind.
But after hearing what Adrian had to say, she felt it was better to go and back her up.
“You should come with me.”
Julian didn’t move. “It’s a family matter. It might not be the best time to go.”
Isabel considered it. “She married into that family in Fiorhaven Principality all by herself, with no parents to support her. Now that he has a child with someone else, I’m worried.”
“Let’s take the two kids with us. After we’re done, we can fly straight to Westbridge. I have things to attend to at my lab.”
Julian didn’t go with her, but he saw her, the children, and Martha onto his private jet.
“I can’t get away, but I’ve sent someone to help you. They’ll meet you there.”
Isabel didn’t insist he come along. Having help was enough. They weren’t going there to start a fight; they would try to reason first if possible.
On the plane, Isabel briefly explained the situation to Oliver and Edmund. “Your main job is to look after Aunt Evelyn and make sure nothing happens to her. On the way back, after I’ve handled everything, remember to give her lots of love and support.”
