Aurelius Dominion Group had just canceled its partnership with the Lockwood Group. Now was not the time to stir up more trouble.
Otherwise, facing threats both internally and externally, the situation would spiral out of control.
So he was just worried about his grandson, not because he still had feelings for Grace.
Daphne finally smiled and soothed Simon.
"Simon, your grandfather cares about you more than anyone. He's not afraid of Grace getting angry; he's worried you'll be in danger. You have to understand him. He's looking out for you."
"Okay, I understand. It's my fault, Grandfather. In that case, since the gloves are off, there's no need for us to go back to the Lockwood estate and put on a show. We can just live here with Grandma. Besides, Grandma gets lonely by herself."
Edgar nodded. He wasn't sure why he had gone back to the Lockwood estate in the first place. Now that Simon was president, Grace was of no value to them. Perhaps it was just habit, an instinct that led him back.
"Alright. We won't go back anymore."
Daphne then said to Edgar, "Edgar, can you take me for a walk? It's been so long since I've been back."
Edgar replied, "Aurelius Dominion Group is canceling our partnership, so there's a lot to do at the company right now. I can't go with you. Once this period passes, I'll take you for a walk, okay?"
Daphne nodded.
Just then, Edgar's phone rang. It was his eldest grandson, Declan Lockwood.
"Grandfather, I'm sorry, but I still haven't been able to find out the identity of the person in charge of Aurelius Dominion Group."
