He said angrily, “Lucas and Liana left a long time ago. You should go look for them at your own Lockwood estate.”
Only then did Natalie realize that the children had actually come to see her.
Terence made a call and confirmed that Lucas and Liana were not at the Lockwood estate. He asked, “When did they leave?”
Marcus replied, “A while ago. Go find them yourselves. Stop bothering my sister.”
Marie said furiously, “The two kids came to you for help, and you just kicked them out? They’re so young! What if they get kidnapped on the street? They’re Lockwood children! How could you do that? If anything happens to them, we’re not done with you!”
Although Natalie despised Marie, she had a point. The children were so young, and as Lockwoods, they were at risk of being kidnapped. That would be a serious problem.
Marcus scoffed. "Even if they were kidnapped, what's it to me?"
Marie turned to Terence. “Terence, look at them! They’re so heartless. Lucas and Liana came to her, and she threw them out. What if something terrible happens to them?”
Marcus pulled Natalie toward the house. “Sister, don’t pay them any mind. They’re their children; they can find them themselves. It has nothing to do with us.”
Terence said to Marie, “You go back first. I need to find the children.”
Marie protested, “No, Terence. I’ll help you look.”
Natalie was also worried. She said to Marcus, “Brother, they’re just kids. It’s too dangerous for them to be out there alone. Let’s help look for them.”
