Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 618

"Yes. We're family. Blood ties don't just vanish. We should focus on the positive," one of them said.

"Look at Amelia's attitude toward us now. She's not as hard on us as before. Things will get better."

At that moment, the three brothers were unusually united, showing a level of cohesion they had never had before.

They felt heartache for Emery and knew she still had not stepped out of the shadow left by Raymond's passing.

As the men of the family, they felt it was their responsibility to hold things together. No matter what, they could not allow the Nygards to fall apart again.

What they did not know was that a massive scheme was already waiting for them behind the scenes.

Emery felt comforted seeing how mature her sons had become. At least this time, there was something to hold on to.

So she told herself she also had to make changes.

"Oh, right, Amelia is with that Curran boy now. You can tell she really likes him, and he treats her well. So when you see Jeremy in the future, be more courteous. And we should keep closer contact with the Currans too."

Once Emery pulled herself together, she immediately focused on the key point.

She was a mother who had been through it all. As long as Amelia would live well after marriage, Emery found herself thinking carefully about these things.

"Mom, you really woke us up with that. We definitely need to get along with our future brother-in-law," one of the brothers said.

"Yeah, Jeremy treats Amelia well. Whenever someone tries to give her trouble, he's always the first to speak up for her," another agreed.

Back when they had still been manipulated by Gianna, they had personally experienced Jeremy snapping back at them when conflicts with Amelia arose.

They used to dislike him no matter what he did. Now, they were genuinely glad Amelia had found such a good man.

"Looks like we need to take the brother-in-law route. If he approves of us, maybe he can put in a good word for us with Amelia," one of them said.

"That's true. And we can also use the chance to see, from a man's perspective, whether he's truly loyal to her."

No matter what, they were determined to be Amelia's strongest support. Her solid backing.

That way, once Amelia married into the Currans, no one there would dare mistreat her.

"Exactly, we'll be her safety net. No matter what happens, the Nygard Residence will always be open to her," another said firmly.

Of course, Emery said this, but she never wanted Amelia to be pushed into a corner.

She knew Whitney treated Amelia even better than she herself did. Whitney was open-minded and easy to get along with.

So Emery was not overly worried about Amelia's future with the Currans.

She only felt the need to stay alert about Wade's side of the family and to monitor Bridget's attitude more carefully.

Thinking about it, Emery's thoughts started spiraling again.

They might not even get a chance to talk to their future brother-in-law, let alone sit down and have a pleasant drink together.

"That's fine, Amelia didn't want to see us either. As long as we're sincere and thick-skinned enough, we'll get there," Maxwell replied.

His optimism actually made some sense to the other two.

Repairing their relationship with Amelia alone already felt like a long road.

Now they had to factor in winning over their future brother-in-law too.

All because of that damned Gianna.

Recently, Amelia had been grinding nonstop at Nygard Group, removing everyone Regina had planted inside the company.

She replaced them with people she trusted, as well as highly paid professionals recruited from outside.

As for Elian, she had not seen him in a long time.

Ever since that shareholder meeting where everything had blown up and she learned he was Regina's biggest insider, they had not crossed paths again.

It was a shame. He could have been one of her strongest partners. But now, he could only be an opponent.

At least the losses were not too great, and she had no intention of pursuing it further.
