Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 625

"Because I'm going on a blind date too."

As soon as Josie finished speaking, a strange emotion flashed across Harrison's usually expressionless face.

She didn't notice the change. She was still thinking about his last blind date.

Remembering how badly that one ended made her feel oddly happy.

"Not just me. You're going on another blind date too."

Her finger began circling on his chest again as she dragged out her words. "Because it's a blind date between the two of us."

Her words left Harrison stunned for a moment. Before he could react, his phone rang.

He frowned when he saw the caller ID and answered.

"Harrison, I arranged a blind date for you this weekend. It's the Huttons' daughter. Your dad and I both like her, so you must go meet her.

"I heard you two even work together. Good chance to build feelings.

"I'm warning you—if you mess this one up again, I won't forgive you!"

His parents, Perry Ramley and Hayley Ramley, gave orders without letting him speak, then hung up.

He didn't even get a chance to refuse.

He was already used to their habit of calling only to talk and never listening.

"Can you get up now?" Harrison said flatly after putting his phone away.

Josie, who had been shamelessly eavesdropping, suddenly felt a bit embarrassed.

"I didn't mean to."

She quickly stepped away from him but defended herself confidently. "I heard it was Hayley calling. She was obviously talking about our blind date, so I listened."

After saying that, she grabbed his hand again and shook it lightly. "I don't know why, but I feel like we knew each other before.

"When I hold your hand, it feels familiar. I've never held another guy's hand like this."

She truly meant it.

She was naturally cheerful and honest, so she said it without hesitation.

Harrison looked at her deeply, his expression unreadable. After a while he said, "You tease plenty of guys. Only younger boys would believe that."

After daydreaming in the break room for a bit, she pumped her fist in the air and encouraged herself. "Josie, keep going! The mission isn't finished yet! Winning Harrison is just around the corner!"

Feeling proud, she carried her coffee and walked back to work.

Back at her desk, her mood stayed bright. She took out her phone and texted Amelia. "Amelia, huge progress! I was alone with Harrison in the break room today. I even held his hand. He complained, but I think he was a little jealous!

"And I have a blind date this weekend. Guess who it is?"

Amelia received and opened the message right away.

Their offices were close—less than a minute apart—so she didn't understand why Josie chose texting instead of walking over.

"I know. It must be Harrison." Amelia replied without thinking.

"Haha, was it that easy to guess? Am I that obvious?"

Josie was still smiling brightly, as cheerful as ever.

Since work was slow that day, they started chatting in their group chat, where Patience was also included.

The three of them chatted for more than two hours.
