Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1049

Julian gave Andres a look and didn't object.

He happened to have a few things he wanted to discuss privately with his new son-in-law.

Once Julian left the room, Sofia let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding.

Julian's intimidating aura was so overpowering that she had barely been able to handle it.

With the men gone, only Sofia, Serenity, and Maeve remained.

Looking at the mother and daughter who appeared more like sisters, Sofia chuckled.

"Maeve, I finally understand why you always got this weird look on your face whenever I asked about your mother."

"If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I never would have believed my old classmate looked a whole generation younger than me."

Maeve poured tea for the two women.

"Honestly, doesn't she look even younger than me?"

Serenity swatted her daughter playfully. "Since you and Andres are legally married, it's not right to call her Mrs. White anymore."

Maeve stuck her tongue out. "I got so used to hiding our marriage, the old title just stuck."

Sofia waved it off dismissively.

"Call me whatever you want. As long as you two are happy together, that's all that matters to me."

"Serenity, how have you been all these years?"

Serenity glanced toward the hallway where Julian had disappeared.

"My love life has been... chaotic, to say the least."

"My first husband was complete trash. And my current husband is a possessive control freak who loses his mind at the drop of a hat."

"Compared to you, a princess sheltered in a castle, I feel like my life started on hardcore mode."

Maeve hugged her mother's arm.

"Mom, Dad treats you so well now. He really does."

Everyone had their selfish moments, and Maeve was no exception.

She knew her parents' early years together had been a chaotic mess.
