Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1127

Down on the first floor, the vicious shouting match between Barton and his parents raged on, the noise slicing painfully through Nancy's pounding headache.

Consumed by a tsunami of pure, venomous hatred, Nancy listened to her eldest brother scream about her flaws, defending the bastard child who had mutilated her.

She could no longer see the struggling boy in her hands as family. He was a monster. A disease.

Gripping Ryan by his collar, she dragged him out of the room and hoisted him over the heavy wooden railing of the fourth-floor landing, dangling him over the sheer drop.

The Grover mansion featured a grand, open-concept spiral staircase. From the fourth floor, there was a straight, terrifying plunge down to the marble foyer.

It was only then that Ryan realized he was in mortal danger. He thrashed wildly, screaming at the top of his lungs, "Daddy! Save me!"

The argument downstairs abruptly ceased. Barton whipped his head upward.

His blood ran cold. Nancy was holding his son over the precipice. If she let go, the boy would plummet four stories.

It would be instant death.

Barton, Faye, and his father were paralyzed by the sheer lunacy of what they were witnessing.

As ruthlessly pragmatic as Faye was about the boy's existence, even she couldn't stomach watching a five-year-old get splattered across her floor.

"Nancy! Stop! Calm down!" Faye shrieked.

Nancy ignored her mother entirely, locking her single, hateful eye onto Barton.

"We grew up together, Barton. Yet my place in your heart is beneath some whore's bastard. You disgust me."

Barton pointed a shaking finger at her, his voice cracking. "Do not hurt my son!"

Nancy smirked, leaning slightly over the edge. "This little freak took my eye."

"I'll pay you for the eye! Anything you want!" Barton begged.

Nancy let out a chilling, hollow laugh. "Too bad you can't afford it."

And with that, she opened her hands.

Ryan's tiny body plummeted.
