Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 137

Orca Group's headquarters sat in the most lucrative stretch of downtown Aethelburg—a thirty-six-story tower dressed in money and confidence, the kind of building people used as a landmark when giving directions.

On the top floor, the executive conference room was packed. More than twenty people lined the long table, and every face wore the same heavy, tight expression.

They all had one thing in common: they'd been guests on that cruise—Andres's cruise.

And the stunt Lincoln had pulled onboard, bringing thugs and turning the ship into a nightmare, had left plenty of them with lingering fear... and a score to settle.

Since Lincoln had once belonged to the White family, the bill, in their minds, naturally landed in front of the current head of the family: Andres White.

Even Declan—just recovered from a serious illness—had been dragged into the "accountability meeting."

But from beginning to end, Declan sat at Andres's right hand and didn't say a single word.

This building was Andres's home turf in Aethelburg. If this many people had decided to join forces and come demanding answers, he wasn't about to disappoint them.

He leaned back in the center seat as if the room had been built around him. "All right," he said calmly. "Tell me. What exactly do you want me to do?"

The first to speak was Stevens, a real-estate tycoon who'd made his fortune in development and made sure everyone knew it. In his forties, broad-faced and hard-eyed, he usually called Andres "brother" in public—until money got involved.

"This cruise trip scared the hell out of everyone," Stevens said, voice firm. "Some of us even lost valuables. And no matter how you slice it, your family bears responsibility."

"As the representative for today's negotiation, I spoke with a few of the other executives. We all agree the most practical compensation is profit."

He tapped the stack of paperwork in front of him. "Everyone here has some kind of partnership with Orca Group. And everyone in this industry knows you love writing ‘seventy-thirty' into your contracts."

He smiled without warmth. "Frankly, Mr. White, that's a little... aggressive."

Stevens slid a contract across the table. "Here's a revised agreement from Prime Realty. We change the split to fifty-fifty."

"If you sign, we call the cruise incident even between us."

Once Stevens opened the door, the others followed. One after another, they produced contracts they'd clearly prepared in advance—hoping to squeeze a little extra out of Andres while they had leverage.

Andres took Stevens's contract and glanced at it.

Less than five seconds later, he tossed it back onto the table.

"Don't say fifty-fifty," Andres said, unbothered. "Even seventy-thirty is fine."

A few people's eyes lit up.
