Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 224

"If the boss is interested, I can have some shipped to Aethelburg."

Raven had never met Maeve, but he already felt a strange kind of admiration for the Boss's legendary woman. Anyone who dared talk to their boss like that had to be something else.

Murray smacked Raven on the head.

"Watch your mouth. Is that the kind of joke you make in front of Mr. Andres?"

Raven glared back. "Enough. How many times have you hit my head today?"

Murray smacked him again. "Keep Mr. Andres's name out of your mouth if you want to keep your head."

Hans cut in, warning them, "Focus on the road. Stop messing around."

Whenever Murray and Raven were together, they couldn't go five minutes without bickering.

Noticing their boss's dark expression, Hans deliberately changed the subject.

"Miss Vance seems very determined about having a child."

Raven laughed. "A man like the boss? Any woman would want a baby to lock down her place."

Hans gave him a look. "There are things you don't understand."

Raven didn't—but Andres did.

He'd been with Maeve long enough to feel it: emotionally, she wasn't warm with him. If anything, she was distant.

Only in bed did she become unusually proactive, like she wanted to be pregnant by morning.

Andres had a suspicion it had something to do with the Binding tying them together.

So every time she pushed so hard… it wasn't because she wanted him.

It was because she wanted out.

The thought settled in his mind and left a small, sharp irritation behind.

The jeep rolled into a military base.
