Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 278

"This is… way too much. I can't possibly wear it all."

Sofia laughed. "Andres's father gave me these as engagement gifts. I didn't even wear half of them."

"Don't worry about not wearing them. When you and Andres start showing up at events together, these will come in handy."

They were mid-conversation when Tanner's call came through on the house line.

Sofia took it—and her face changed instantly.

"Send them away. I don't want to see them."

Maeve caught the shift. "What happened?"

Sofia sighed. "Molly and her mother want to see me."

Maeve blinked. "I thought they left."

"They were going to," Sofia said, tired. "But last night's storm stranded them."

"Andres told me he even removed Molly from her position as CEO at the Grand Horizon Hotel."

With that glossy title gone, Molly's future was about to turn very dark.

Sofia didn't feel the slightest pity for either of them.

Over the years, the Whites had compensated the Sullivans more than enough.

Money. Status. Influence. Whatever they asked for, the Whites gave.

And the more they got, the more shameless they became.

There were things Sofia had never said aloud to anyone—yet with Maeve, she suddenly wanted to unburden herself.

"Molly isn't simple," Sofia said quietly. "Every time, she uses my health as leverage to make trouble for Andres."

"And this time—calling the FDA to file a complaint—it's made me hate her even more."

"She knows the Whites and the Shepherds are sworn enemies, and she still dragged Shepherd people in just to disgust Andres."

"She'll do anything to get what she wants. Anything."

Maeve wasn't a gossip, but she could hear the resentment lodged under every word.

"The Shepherd family," Maeve asked, "are they that dangerous?"
