Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 509

Maeve and Naomi exchanged a heavy look.

Both knew Gordon Foster was merely a scapegoat pushed forward by the real heavyweights. There was a much bigger player hiding in the shadows.

More importantly, Gordon had been arrested a year and a half ago and subsequently executed.

With him dead, the trail had gone entirely cold.

Naomi lowered her voice. "It looks like this scumbag doesn't know the real inside story either."

Maeve frowned. "He and Benjamin Bright were both deeply involved. I refuse to believe they know absolutely nothing."

Naomi pointed out, "You hypnotized him."

"If he's still not coughing up the mastermind's name while under, doesn't that strike you as completely unnatural?"

Maeve had to admit this was spiraling out of her control.

After the disaster, she had confronted Benjamin multiple times, demanding to know what really happened.

Knowing Benjamin, she didn't believe he was cold-blooded enough to watch his own brother die and then protect the killers.

Yet every time she pressed him, his answer was always the same: he didn't know.

Maeve was highly trained in psychology.

Based on Benjamin's body language and micro-expressions, she was certain he wasn't lying to her.

Benjamin hadn't lied.

And now, Donovan couldn't produce an answer under deep hypnosis.

There was only one logical conclusion left.

"I suspect the core memories of the people involved were intentionally erased."

Naomi stared at her in shock.

"Who on earth has the power to just wipe people's minds?"

Maeve hesitated, clearly hating the thought of bringing up the name.

"Aside from that old immortal, Griffin, I can't think of anyone else."
