Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 648

Leonardo Salazar managed to maintain an iron grip on his family's empire despite his frail health.

No one would believe he didn't possess terrifying influence and ruthless tactics.

Thinking about the devastating retaliation Landon was about to face, the slight disappointment in Andres's chest evaporated.

He checked his watch; it was almost eight. "Are you hungry? Want to hit the buffet downstairs?"

Maeve let out a lazy yawn. "Is everyone from the roster going to be there?"

Those executives had been trapped in a conference room for six hours. They had to be starving.

Andres nodded. "Most likely. It's a chance to eat and a prime opportunity for networking."

Maeve waved him off. "Go without me. I'll just order room service."

Andres caught her underlying tone. "Is someone on that list you want to avoid?"

The first name that crossed his mind was Mason Reed.

He still felt there was something incredibly complex about Maeve's connection to the Reed family.

To his surprise, she confirmed it. "Yeah, there is. Declan Fulton. I'm worried if I see him, I won't be able to stop myself from beating him to a pulp."

Realization dawned on Andres. "You saw him with his new date?"

Maeve shot him a wicked, accusing glare. "So you knew this whole time and didn't say a word. You hide things well."

"Is this a guy code thing? Men covering for each other when they sleep around?"

Maeve didn't want to sound so vicious.

She understood that powerful men often kept their options open when it came to relationships.

Maybe she was a hypocrite.

If this happened to a stranger, she would have just laughed it off.

But this was her best friend, Naomi. It felt worse than having her own flesh carved out.

Besides, Declan had been incredibly hostile toward Andres on the cruise ship.

Andres was more than happy to use this opportunity to draw a hard line between them.

Maeve hated wasting energy on pointless matters, so she wasn't going to direct her anger at Andres over Declan's infidelity.

"Since the summit is over, can we leave Lumiere City after dinner?"

"Not tonight," Andres sighed. "The officials scheduled a meeting with some key figures for tomorrow morning."

"The earliest we can head back to Aethelburg is tomorrow afternoon."

Maeve nodded. "Alright. You stay another night. I'll drive myself back to Aethelburg in the morning."

Andres caught her hand. "You're not waiting for me?"

"Something urgent came up," she replied smoothly. "We'll travel separately."
