Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 791

Andres ignored Nancy Grover's existence completely. Grasping Maeve's hand, he headed straight toward their reserved private dining room.

Nancy never expected to be treated like an invisible specter in his eyes. The socialite friends accompanying her exchanged shocked glances, unable to believe something so absurd was actually happening. This was the Goddess of Aethelburg. The woman rumored to be Mr. Andres's 'One That Got Away.' Shouldn't he have shown at least some reaction upon seeing his old flame?

Unable to stomach the public humiliation in front of her friends, Nancy raised her voice. "Andres."

Her call drew the attention of other patrons traversing the restaurant. Gossiping gazes immediately locked onto them.

Andres stopped and looked back at her. His eyes were dead and completely void of emotion, as if he were staring at a total stranger. "Can I help you?"

Since Andres had halted, Maeve stood casually beside him, ready to watch the drama unfold.

Nancy bit her lower lip, her large eyes shimmering with unshed tears. She looked a perfect mix of pitiful and deeply wronged. "Are you really not going to even say hello to an old friend?"

Facing her, Andres dropped the faint smile he usually carried, his demeanor shifting back to the untouchable king of the corporate world. "Using the term 'old friend' to describe our relationship is highly inappropriate. At best, we are strangers who crossed paths once upon a time. Furthermore, I simply didn't notice you standing there."

He severely lacked the patience to deal with someone as boundaryless as Nancy. He had reminded her more than once that they had absolutely zero connection anymore. Her desperate attempts to cozy up to him were just plain ignorant. This was his third close-quarters interaction with her since she returned to the country. It only solidified his realization that the current Nancy was vastly different from the one in his memories. If he had to describe the change, it was a tacky desperation that rubbed him the wrong way.
