Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 793

Andres flipped through the documents. The contents weren't particularly shocking. For the past year, Nancy had indeed been receiving treatments related to blood disorders abroad. The fact that she chose this exact moment to return implied her condition had stabilized.

"Mr. Andres, are you investigating Nancy because you suspect her original motives for leaving the country?"

Andres tossed the files back onto the desk, his fingers tapping a rhythmic beat against the wood. After a long pause, he replied, "I couldn't care less about why she left. What absolutely baffles me is how much she's changed. Hans, you dealt with her in the past. Didn't you notice anything fundamentally different about her now?"

Hans frowned in deep thought. "Aside from losing a bit of that ethereal, untouchable vibe she used to have, she seems pretty much the same."

"Exactly," Andres said sharply. "Her entire aura is completely different."

"That's easy to explain," Hans reasoned. "The cultural background overseas is totally different. When someone stays in a new environment for a long time, they naturally pick up local habits. You're the perfect example of this. Think about how you were before you met Miss Vance, and look at yourself now. Haven't you changed a ton of your old habits?"

Andres felt like Hans was entirely missing the point. "Habits change, but a person's core nature doesn't. Yes, I've changed a lot for Maeve, but the core of who I am is exactly the same."

Hans looked utterly bewildered. "Boss, you're losing me. Are you seriously suggesting that after a year abroad, Nancy got her body snatched by a different soul?"

Andres shot him a withering look. Waving a dismissive hand, he barked, "It's late. Get out of here."
