Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 915

Maeve looked at him like he had asked the stupidest question in the world. "Exactly."

Her utter lack of rationality made Andres's frown deepen. "What's the difference between this reckless insanity and cold-blooded murder?"

There were millions of ways to destroy Nancy, yet Maeve had chosen the single most self-destructive method possible. A public execution in front of the city's elites would ruin her life forever.

Maeve slowly turned her head, sweeping her gaze over the onlookers. Her voice was ice. "Am I committing a crime?"

Before the horrific video, the crowd might have found Maeve's brutality jarring. Now, every single person in the room was burning with fury.

Though Nancy hadn't appeared on screen, her guilt was an undeniable, irreversible fact.

Surprisingly, Michael Perez was the first to speak. "I just came to celebrate my buddy's birthday. Had some great food, great drinks. As for crimes? Haven't seen a thing."

If he didn't have such iron-clad self-control, Michael would have kicked Nancy across the room himself. Just months ago, one of his own comrades had been captured and dismembered by enemy forces. Nancy's twisted cruelty was even more sickening.

Nancy shot Michael a venomous glare, silently warning him that his insolence would bring catastrophe upon the Perez family.

Michael simply smirked right back. In the face of true evil, status meant nothing.

Following his lead, Corbin Shaw quickly backed her up. "It's Christmas, and it's Mr. White's birthday. We're all just having a blast. I have no idea who's committing a crime either."

Corbin knew exactly how to read a room and pick the winning side.

Leonardo Salazar took a slow, elegant sip of his drink, feeling absolutely zero pity for Nancy.

"Are you willing to throw away your entire future for a dead man named Charlie?" Andres snapped back.

Maeve didn't hesitate for a microsecond. "My sole purpose in life is to put Charlie's stolen heart back into his chest, completely intact."

Andres raised his voice. "If you rip it out right now, she dies!"

Maeve's eyes widened in sheer fury. "Are you feeling sorry for her?"

From the depths of her despair, Nancy saw a glimmer of hope. "Andres, I knew you wouldn't just leave me to die."

Her pathetic whining threw gasoline on the raging inferno in Maeve's chest.
