Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1029

The referee blew the final whistle.

Winner: Computer Science Department—Juniper Payne.

The crowd sat in stunned silence, completely unable to process what they had just witnessed.

Juniper had just obliterated the president of the Eclara University Tennis Club?

And she did it in a landslide victory.

Using a plastic watering can?!

You couldn't even write this into a movie; it was too ridiculous.

...

With the match concluded, the award ceremony began.

Juniper casually carried her trusty watering can toward the podium.

As she walked past Sheryl, the other girl suddenly snapped. "You did that on purpose, didn't you?!"

Juniper paused, her gaze drifting lazily over Sheryl’s bruised, battered face. A slow, chilling smile spread across her lips. "When you aim for someone else's face, it's just 'playing the game.' But when I hit you, it's on purpose?"

"They got hit because they suck!" Sheryl spat, entirely unhinged.

"Exactly." Juniper chuckled softly, her voice smooth as glass. "And you got hit because you're pathetic."

Sheryl felt like every inch of her body was on fire, her head throbbing violently.

For some reason, every time she opened her mouth to argue with Juniper, she ended up digging her own grave.

"Oh, by the way..." Juniper continued casually, not giving Sheryl a second to recover. "I heard you're not just the club president, but you also trained under a certain internationally renowned master. Supposedly you've won major national tournaments. With all that elite training... how on earth did you..."

She let the sentence trail off. The implication was far more devastating than if she had actually finished the insult.

"You—" Sheryl glared at her, stuttering furiously, unable to form a coherent comeback.

"Oh, right, one more thing."

Before walking away, Juniper tossed a final glance over her shoulder. "Did you really think breaking a few rackets and jamming a door lock was going to save you?"

Juniper raised an eyebrow, her tone suddenly dropping to a freezing, venomous whisper. "Honestly? Using a watering can on you felt like an insult to the watering can."

With that, she casually tossed the severely dented piece of plastic into a nearby trash bin.

She turned to the referee, offering a polite, radiant smile. "I'll make sure to buy the groundskeeper a replacement."
