Seeing Jimmie's sheer panic, Luella was in high spirits.
She leaned in even closer on purpose.
Her warm breath brushed against his face, a slight tickle that could mess with anyone's head.
Staring at the delicate, porcelain face right in front of him, Jimmie's pupils constricted, his expression faltering slightly.
Wasn't "he" supposed to be a guy?
How was his skin this good? Smooth and radiant, without a single visible pore or wrinkle.
He looked even prettier than some female celebrities who practically lived at the dermatologist.
"What are you looking at?" Luella blinked at him, her voice dripping with an effeminate charm.
A guy.
She's a guy.
Realizing his mind was wandering, Jimmie pushed her away with all his might and stormed off.
"Finished with your business, Mr. Schwartz?"
Luella withdrew her gaze, looking over at the expressionless Shanley, before shouting after Jimmie's retreating back, "Mr. Famous Actor, wanna catch a ride back in my car?!"
Jimmie tripped over his own feet and nearly fell, gritting out a single word: "NO!!!"
"Hahaha..."
Luella couldn't help but laugh, bragging arrogantly, "With guts like that, he still dares to pick a fight with me. What a coward!"
"With Juniper gone, do you really have to bully her brother like this?" Shanley had his hands in his pockets, his weary eyes lifting slightly as he spoke in a hoarse voice.
"It's a prime opportunity; can't let it go to waste."
Luella shrugged, walking back to Shanley's side, completely unbothered. "Who told him to keep provoking me without ever learning his lesson?"
"Let's head back to Eclara City."
Shanley didn't have the energy to listen to her chatter and took off with long strides.
"It's been three days."
Luella trailed behind Shanley, finally turning serious. "If Juniper managed to get Corvus to send back that much medicine, she can definitely figure out a way to send a message out, too."
"Go on."
Shanley kept walking, gesturing for Luella to continue.
"Who would she send the message to?" Luella looked up at Shanley, her eyes narrowing. "My guess is you, because you understand her best."
"I see your point."
Shanley stopped and looked down at Luella, his tone serious. "From this moment on, monitor anyone and anything connected to me and Juniper."
