Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1189

Just as he was drowning in his sorrow, the phone suddenly rang.

It was Felton again.

"Speak!" Shanley answered, putting the phone on speaker and tossing it on the table while he continued to sort through the candies.

Ugly colors? Toss.

Weird smells? Toss.

Ugly packaging? Toss.

Just doesn't look right? Toss.

"Boss, we got word from the candy shop. Someone came in asking to buy the Five-Flavor Fusion Candy," Felton spoke tentatively into the phone.

Five-Flavor Fusion Candy...

When he first heard it, he thought the clerk had lost their mind.

What kind of flavor was that supposed to be?

"What?!"

At those words, Shanley's fingers froze mid-sort. He snatched up the phone, his voice instantly sharp. "Say that again. What did they buy?"

"Five-Flavor Fusion Candy," Felton repeated, scratching his head.

Five-Flavor Fusion Candy?

That was a joke Juniper had made offhandedly.

No one else would possibly ask for such a bizarre flavor.

It had to be Juniper.

"Put whoever tried to buy that candy under strict surveillance." Shanley shot up from the couch, pulling his wound in the process. He hissed in pain.

"That person will definitely lead us to Juniper."

"Yes, Boss!"

The moment he knew it involved Juniper, Felton didn't waste a second. He left Flint at the hospital to act as a decoy while he called the candy shop to give orders, flooring the gas pedal to get there as fast as possible.

Soon, the surveillance footage from the scene was sent to Shanley's computer.

"Boss," Flint reported over the line, "our men tracked them and noticed someone else is tailing them."

"Stay on them, don't get spotted, and whatever you do, do not lose them." The corners of Shanley's mouth lifted into a smile, his heart racing with excitement.

This absolutely had to be a clue left by Juniper.

"Also, tell Flint to return to the Sigma Network." After hanging up, Shanley swallowed a painkiller and drove straight to the Sigma Network's main base.
