"What do you think you're doing?" Hearing this, Ebony Fox, who had been expressionless, now had a murderous glint in her eyes. "If you dare touch my family, I'll kill you."
"Hahaha..." Ewan found this hilarious, his laughter echoing in the spacious room. "Kill me? With that broken body of yours?"
Twenty years of poison, even with the antidote keeping her alive, had left her with half a life. He had thought that if she remained obedient, he might grant her a peaceful end... but who knew she'd get ideas about cutting ties with the Huntsman Institute completely.
In his world, pawns he couldn't control had only one fate: death.
"I did everything you asked," Ebony Fox said, forcefully shaking off the man's filthy hand, her gaze as sharp as a poisoned blade. "You promised the mission in Orient Country would be the last one."
"I'm not a man of my word," Ewan sneered, his smile sinister and cruel as he looked down on her as if she were an ant. "Ebony Fox, you are the Huntsman Institute's most prized instructor. How could I possibly let you go? If you don't behave, I'll have your entire family killed. Take her away. No food, no water."
Ewan turned his back, his voice merciless. "And no antidote. This time, she needs to learn her lesson."

Meanwhile, Juniper checked into a hotel within the Huntsman Institute's operational zone.
After settling in, she called Binary Oracle. "Did you find him?"
"We found him, Boss," her subordinate replied promptly. "The address and details have been sent to your phone."
The file showed a boy of about fifteen or sixteen with curly hair. He was Cole, the illegitimate son of Ewan, the director of the Huntsman Institute.
Ewan was a wicked, profit-driven man. His first two sons had been killed by his enemies, and he had gone to extreme lengths to protect this youngest one, raising him in secret, so well-hidden that no one at the Institute even knew of his existence.
Unfortunately for Ewan, digging up such secrets was Binary Oracle's specialty.
"Boss, do you need us to send backup?" her subordinate asked respectfully. "After all, the Huntsman Institute isn't an ordinary place."
