Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3079

Norah simply glanced at him, realizing that even his rugged, unrestrained sleeping posture made her pulse hammer wildly.

Beauty truly was in the eye of the beholder.

Norah crawled into her own bed, squeezed her eyes shut, and then popped them open again. She rolled over to look at her personal masterpiece. "Mr. Flemmings, tell me a bedtime story!"

Xavier slowly lifted an eyelid, shooting her a lazy, sideways glance. "You want to hear the story of my two hundred and twenty-nine ex-girlfriends?"

Norah glared at him. "If you've got the guts to tell it, I've got the guts to listen!"

"Alright then." Xavier propped himself up against the headboard, adopting a nostalgic expression. "The first woman I ever loved..."

Norah instantly yanked the blanket over her head, burrowing deep under the covers.

Watching her hide like a terrified ostrich, Xavier couldn't hold back a low, rumbling laugh. He reached over and flicked off the lights.

The next day, Xavier took Norah to see the tourist attractions around Bloomfield. She had the time of her life, and Sunday flew by in a blur.

Monday morning.

At the same teahouse they had visited before, Xavier and Wyatt were scheduled to meet the developer at ten o'clock.

Xavier and Norah arrived ten minutes early to wait. Xavier ordered a slice of matcha cake for Norah, which sent a thrill straight to her heart—he had actually remembered her favorite dessert from last time.

At exactly ten o'clock, Wyatt walked in with their contact.

Wyatt made the introductions. The project manager for the hotel development was Warren Wallace, a man in his early forties with a receding hairline and a slight paunch. Beneath slightly drooping eyelids, his gaze was sharp and calculating.

Once everyone took their seats, Wyatt laid out the purpose of the meeting.

Xavier followed up by explaining the situation with the Donovan family's property.
