His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 767

"When I was thirteen, something major happened... and it was because of that event that you and I met."

Niamh, who had been staring at her champagne, finally turned to meet Jonathan's gaze.

When she was thirteen, her grandmother passed away suddenly. Niamh remembered it clearly; her grandmother had died right after an argument with her grandfather.

What she never could have imagined was that her grandfather would frame her for her grandmother's accidental death, claiming it was 'intentional harm.'

At the time, the Quinn family's fireworks business was failing, and Niamh’s grandpa was desperately looking for a new venture. He blamed his business failures on the jinx in the house—Niamh.

So, without even a moment to mourn her grandmother, Niamh was sent to a Juvenile Rehabilitation Center on charges of 'intentional harm.' No matter how much she cried and begged, no one spoke up for her, not even her own parents, Hayes and Carlotta.

From her birth to that day, while Hayes and Carlotta weren't as hostile as Niamh’s gradnpa, their eyes never held the warmth of familial love. And so, Niamh was inexplicably sent to the center to be 'reformed.'

In the Aldenville Juvenile Rehabilitation Center, you could live like a king if you had money and connections. Unfortunately, the Quinns offered her no such support. Within a week of arriving, Niamh was thrown into solitary confinement.

With a new phone, Niamh nervously dialed Jonathan’s number one night. She had once wondered if he would try to contact her, but after waiting for a long time, she never heard from him. She reasoned that maybe he had tried while her phone was broken. The thought that he might be worried or angry for not being able to reach her filled her with anxiety.

However... when she finally dialed his number, the voice on the other end was a cold, robotic message: "We're sorry, the number you have dialed is no longer in service."

Niamh froze on the spot, feeling as if she'd been turned to stone. She had believed there was an unbreakable bond between them. Though they had only known each other for a brief six months at the center, love isn't measured by time. They had relied on each other, promising never to abandon one another.
