Kaia POV
After listening to everything that Sinclair and Aric figured out about their birth parents and the fact they are half-siblings, I’m at a loss for words. It was an act of revenge for Cherise, and she still ended up divorcing the guy.
“Are you going to look for Ronan now?” I asked.
“Not right now. I need to investigate our parents’ death and the death of Iris. I wanted your permission to haunt Paul,” she said with an evil smirk that I know all too well.
I laughed, “Permission granted. But I want to watch from a distance.”
“Uh, trouble, you may not be able to tolerate the smell,” Isaiah said.
I pouted. He’s right. “Fine. You go and record it. I need to see that bastard get some religion.”
Sinclair laughed. Aric and Isaiah, on the other hand, didn’t get it. I sighed. “Right. For humans, it’s the equivalent of having a ‘come to Goddess’ moment.”
That’s when I saw their bulbs turn on in their minds and they started laughing. Sinclair smiled at me, and then I filled her in on everything related to Harvey Birch and his connections to Julian.
“And you say he is a major stakeholder?” she confirmed.
“Yeah. Which means that Julian was probably working with Paul. At the very least, I think he was supplying him with the women he used to have sex with at my house,” I replied.
“What about the beach house? Doesn’t that seem convenient?” Sinclair asked.
“I don’t think ‘convenient’ covers it, girl. It’s beside Diego’s house. What if Paul was going to use the house as a way to attack Thalia, Rodrigo and Mia from both sides?”
Everyone sat back and pondered this thought. It’s true though. Why have a house that is right beside the Moreno house unless it was to grab one of the three? Seeing how this likely involves Julian, the target is probably Mia. He has it in his mind that she is the answer for everything.
Isaiah then added to the conversation, telling Sinclair about the gemstone properties and the rogues that Aiden took in at Blackstone. He also mentioned that Golden Frost is stealing patents, and one of them is very likely the tool we need, but it will require modifications.
“That’s up my alley. I can handle modifications. Something seems off about this too, though, Kaia.”
