He had only just returned, but Douglas had already told him everything—how Serena had saved Kiera Montrose upon arriving in the United Realmon States, and how she had poured her heart into formulating a treatment and recovery plan for the two elders.

Why would Serena ever want to harm Holden?

With her unparalleled medical expertise, a trick this cheap was simply beneath her.

Furthermore, Anna's behavior practically screamed guilt.

"Pull the security footage," Silas ordered coldly.

At the mention of security footage, a spark of defiance flickered in Anna's panicked eyes.

As if suddenly finding her backbone, she straightened her posture, feigning absolute righteousness. "Fine! I have nothing to hide. Check the cameras. The footage will prove my innocence!"

Long before she made her move, she had already secured her escape route.

"What are you laughing at?" Anna grit her teeth.

Serena lazily lifted her gaze and pulled out her phone. "I'm laughing at your stupidity. Your sheer naïveté."
