Seeing this, Anna let out a quiet sigh of relief.
She knew it. That corner was a dead zone. There was no way the camera could have captured her tampering with the humidifier.
She sneered. "What does this prove? I was just checking if the humidifier needed water. This isn't evidence of anything!"
Serena's tone was dismissive. "Don't be in such a rush."
She tapped her phone again. The video feed on the screen suddenly jolted.
The previously fixed camera angle smoothly rotated, as if someone were manually adjusting it. It locked perfectly onto the humidifier.
On the screen, Anna pulled a small vial from her pocket and poured a clear, water-like liquid into the machine.
Even the smug, twisted expression on her face was displayed with agonizing clarity.
Anna's face lost all color. "No... that's impossible."
It was one thing for Serena to restore deleted footage, but how could a stationary camera move on its own?
"I told you, don't rush," Serena drawled lazily, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "I'm not finished."
The projection continued. The scene shifted to the hallway.
Anna was seen sprinting frantically into the restroom. She emerged about ten minutes later.
By the time she walked out, the tension on her face had visibly vanished.
"If I were you," Serena smirked, "I wouldn't have flushed that vial down the toilet. Sometimes, the plumbing backs up."
He just stared at her coldly before pulling out his phone and dialing the Vinton estate.
A servant answered. Silas issued a single command. "Put Isabella on the line."
Moments later, Isabella's gentle voice came through the speaker, laced with pleasant surprise. "Silas, you asked for me?"
Silas didn't reply. He tossed the phone onto the floor in front of Anna, his gaze demanding action.
His message was clear. Confront her.
Pushed to the brink of madness, Anna screamed into the phone. "Isabella, you bitch! You ruined me! You told me to poison him! You told me to hurt Grandpa! It was you... you made me do it!"
"Anna?" Isabella sounded thoroughly bewildered. "What poison? What do you mean hurt Grandpa? Anna, what are you talking about? Aren't you..."
