Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 515

Chapter 515 The Weather Changed

William went to the kitchen and served her a separate plate, then brought it out to feed her.

Nina ran around playing, and William chased after her with the spoon.

Amelia glanced over and sighed.

It was a good thing Nina didn’t stay home every day.

Once she went to Sunbeam Daycare tomorrow, she’d eat on her own.

Amelia didn’t bother with her messy habits at home. She ate dinner at the table with Benjamin.

After the meal, the two of them washed up

first.

When they finished getting ready, they saw William walking back from the yard with the empty plate.

Nina had gotten herself filthy somehow, with dirt smudged all over her little face.

Amelia called her over, gave her a bath, and cleaned her up completely.

By the time everything was done, it was almost nine o’clock in the evening.

Amelia patted Nina’s chubby bottom and urged her, “Alright, put your sticker book away. Time for bed. You’ve been playing all day-aren’t you tired?”

Nina babbled, “Mommy, no sleep.”

She didn’t move even when Amelia tapped her bottom. She kept peeling stickers, planning to stick them all over Benjamin.

Amelia wouldn’t let her keep playing—Nina never knew when to stop.

She tapped Nina’s bottom again and pushed her to clean up.

Amelia said, “Hurry and put your toys away. Look how messy they are everywhere.”

Nina had a storage box by the bed just for her toys.

She loved playing with them on the bed before sleeping, so the bed and floor were covered in her things.

Amelia didn’t want to clean them up-it was too tiring.

To save herself the trouble, she kept nudging Nina to do it.

Nina got nudged several times but didn’t clean up. Instead, she giggled and jumped onto Amelia.

Amelia said firmly, “Go put the toys away. I don’t wanna play with you.”

She begged and pleaded until Nina finally started tidying her toys.

Nina stuffed them away messily, then ran back to hug Amelia. “Mommy, play?”

Amelia called out, “Benjamin, turn off the light.”

She was relieved Nina had finally cleaned

If the toys stayed out, neither she nor Benjamin could sleep comfortably-they’d get poked all night.

The room went dark. Amelia ignored Nina, clinging to her, lay down, closed her eyes, and tried to sleep.

Nina whined, “Mommy!”

She called for Amelia with no response, then tried Benjamin.

Benjamin ignored her, too, lying on his side with his back to her.

Nina wouldn’t give up. She poked Amelia and patted Benjamin over and over.

After bugging them for a while with no reaction, she flopped back onto her pillow and fell asleep.

Amelia didn’t tuck Nina in anymore.

Nina could fall asleep on her own now.

The whole family drifted off, ending their chaotic day.

The next morning, the sun peeked out slowly.

As usual, Nina woke up earlier than Benjamin and Amelia.

She went straight to find William-he woke up at the same time as her.

William said, “Morning, Nina. It’s pouring rain outside, so it’ll be really cold. We need to put on extra warm clothes.”

Fall rain made the air colder with every storm.

Nina’s clothes were getting thicker each day, but weren’t too heavy yet.

After getting cold before, Nina obeyed when it came to putting on warm clothes.

William dressed her in a soft white cotton long-sleeve shirt, a little yellow-duck printed vest, a pink jacket, thermal pants, regular trousers, and small sneakers.

The outfit was perfect for running around.

William said, still worried, “Nina, if you get too hot or too cold, tell your teacher, okay?”

Lots of kids had gotten sick since the weather changed.

William saw so many children coughing outside and was terrified Nina would catch something,

too.

Nina actually had a strong immune system. She hadn’t gotten sick during any of the recent flu outbreaks.

She only ever got sick from being too cold, scared, or eating something wrong.

Nina begged, “Grandpa, Nina out.”
