Chapter 120 Answer
Laila’s POV:
:
The moment Samuel mentioned the curse, it felt like something broke open.
Nita could clearly sense the cruel power inside it.

“Nita, I know you’re worried,” I replied in my mind, trying to stay steady. “But this might be my only chance to get free from Vaughn. I don’t want to live trapped in a golden cage. I met Queen Selena before. She used to be a bright and powerful Alpha. After entering the palace, she slowly faded away and died without a clear reason.”
Just thinking about her death made me shiver. “I won’t end up like that. I won’t tie my whole life to another he-wolf’s control.”
“But this is like walking into danger!” Nita sounded anxious.
“We’re werewolves, Nita,” I said softly. “Sometimes, in storms and snow, wolves don’t get a choice.”
Before I could settle the argument in my head, Samuel seemed to read my silence and the small change in my face.
He leaned closer. His eyes-like a true apex predator-locked onto me. His tone shifted back to that firm, commanding voice of a pack leader, like it wasn’t a marriage deal but an order.
“Laila Conlay!”
He called me by my full name. His voice wasn’t loud, but it left no room for refusal.
“Give me your answer. Make it clear!
“I swear-if we do this, I’ll take on every risk and problem!”
His gaze was strong and open, steady like a true leader. At that moment, my doubts vanished.
Without thinking, I blurted out, “Okay!”
“Good, good!”
Samuel laughed, bright and carefree.
It was the first time I’d seen him so happy.

He paused, then added, “But Morgana will be staying there for a while. Her temper isn’t great, but don’t worry. If she makes you mad, just scold her. I won’t defend her. You have my word. She won’t stay long.”
Hearing that, I smiled. “Don’t worry, Your Highness. I won’t swallow my pride.”
“That’s great!” Samuel laughed again.
Third-person POV:
After leaving the Silvermoon Pack, Samuel didn’t waste time. He shifted and ran straight to Vaughn.
“Your Majesty! Laila agreed to be my mate. She’ll soon become the Luna of Frostwind Pack.”
He shifted back and spoke clearly.
On the throne, Vaughn paused, almost stunned. “She agreed? Did you tell her about the curse?”
“Yes. I told her everything, and she still said yes!”
Samuel looked overjoyed, as if he were still that innocent younger brother. “She said she loves me. Even if we can’t truly mate, she’s willing to stay by my side. I can’t believe it.”
He looked at Vaughn with deep gratitude. “And I owe it to you. I know that royal decree wasn’t meant to force her to be your queen. It was to wake me up and push me to face my feelings and fight for her.”
Vaughn listened, eyes lowered, a faint shadow crossing his sharp features.
“Yes,” he said quietly. “As long as you understood my … intention.”
“If not for you, I might’ve stayed a coward much longer!”
Samuel scratched his head, a little shy.
Vaughn studied his brother’s face. He spoke slowly, “Does Laila mean that much to you?”
“Of course. You know better than anyone. Even before she awakened her wolf spirit or showed any special power, I already loved her.”
“That’s right.”
