Chapter 760
Two hours earlier.
The atmosphere inside one of the warehouse docks in western Hong Kong had already been consumed by rage.
Crash!
A liquor bottle slammed against the concrete wall and shattered into pieces. Alcohol mixed with blood dripped onto the filthy floor while several large men stood with their heads lowered, not daring to move an inch.
“Useless trash!” Falcon roared, his breathing rough and heavy. “You couldn’t even get one woman out alive?”
One of his men lowered his head even further. His face was swollen with bruises from the punches Falcon had thrown only moments ago. “We almost succeeded, Boss. But that man-”
“Shut up!”
Falcon kicked the iron chair in front of him again, sending it skidding violently across the floor. He looked terrifying tonight. His eyes burned with fury and humiliation.
He truly hadn’t expected Cale to arrive that quickly. What infuriated him even more was the fact that several of his trusted men had been taken down within minutes.
“Didn’t you say he came alone?” Falcon snapped irritably.
“H-He did, Mr. Falcon, but-”
“But what? You still couldn’t beat him?”
Everyone in the room lowered their heads even more, fear tightening the air around them.
“What, suddenly all of you lost your tongues?!”
The sound of a wooden cane tapping slowly against the floor echoed from the back of the warehouse. But instead of calming Falcon down, it only seemed to drive him further into madness. No one could even count how many punches he had already thrown at his subordinates tonight.
“You really can’t control yourself, can you?”
Falcon immediately turned sharply toward the voice.
Zhao Hua stepped into the warehouse at an unhurried pace, accompanied by two bodyguards dressed in black. His long gray coat was still damp from the rain, yet not a single trace of emotion showed on his face.
Calm. Cold. Intimidating.
As though the chaos inside this warehouse wasn’t even worth his attention.
Zhao Hua’s gaze swept across the room for several seconds before finally settling on Falcon, who was still seething with anger.
“I already heard the outcome,” Zhao Hua said quietly.
Falcon rubbed a hand harshly over his face. “Your people gave us the wrong information.”
“That’s your excuse?” Zhao Hua’s tone remained flat, yet somehow it sounded even more degrading because of it.
Falcon narrowed his eyes instantly. “Cale arrived sooner than expected.”
“I’m not surprised.”
Those words instantly plunged the warehouse into silence.

Zhao Hua walked slowly toward the long table in the center of the room before placing his cane down with deliberate calm. ” Personally, I’ve always known Cale isn’t someone easy to defeat.” His cold gaze lifted toward Falcon. “Even when he’s outnumbered.”
He shifted his crippled leg slightly, almost as if reminding everyone in the room that the injury had been caused by Cale himself.
Falcon’s jaw tightened immediately.
The remark felt like a slap to the face.
“You never said anything about that bastard.”
“Did you ask?” Zhao Hua let out a low chuckle. The grin stretching across his lips looked chilling under the dim warehouse lights. “I already went through the trouble of clearing a path so you could get close to Naomi.”
Falcon laughed sharply, emotion laced heavily in the sound. “Get close to her?” He stepped forward, his stare turning dangerous. “Your people failed to keep the situation under control. My men were the ones who paid for it.”
“And you still failed,” Zhao replied flatly.
Short. Calm.
And more than enough to push Falcon’s temper closer to the edge.
