"Exactly. She wins an award every time the school has a competition."
"I think it's mostly going to be Bianca. Bianca, if you get chosen and meet celebrities, can you get an autograph for me?"
"Bianca, you're amazing! I'm so envious!"
...
Everyone surrounded Bianca as if victory was already in her grasp.
Bianca said modestly, "You guys flatter me too much."
Elena usually wasn't popular; she was aloof.
No one bothered to talk to her.
"Elena, I support you. I think you can beat Bianca." Michelle Turner ran over and whispered to her.
Elena turned to look at the usually quiet girl. "What makes you so sure?"
"Um... just a feeling. Anyway, I like your designs. Although I don't have much talent for design, I just think you can do it."
"Thanks." Elena realized that Michelle was actually quite cute.
Usually silent, yet suddenly running over to support her—it was unexpected.
"Elena, if you get chosen, can you take me with you? I'll just do odd jobs for you. I've never been on a production set in my life, and I want to see what celebrities look like."
"Okay," Elena agreed.
Michelle was overjoyed.
She stood aside, silently praying that Elena would be chosen by Skyline Echo.
Elena thought she was adorable.
By the time classes ended and she returned home, it was already evening.
She had many classes today; this was the busiest day of the week.
Daniel had already returned from the company.
Elena saw him sighing, looking somewhat unwell.
"Dad, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, Elena. It's getting late, go rest early!" Daniel said, heading to his room to sleep.
