“Alright, get the hell out of here. I need to work!” Elena rolled her eyes at him.
“Hehe, Boss told me to roll out, so I’m rolling!”
After saying that, Tyler actually did a dramatic tumble across the floor before leaving.
Elena was speechless.
Soon, the sky began to brighten.
People started trickling into the company for the workday.
Elena opened the blinds, watching the colorful sunrise fill the sky. A new day had begun.
“Elena!” Daniel arrived.
“Dad, why are you at the office so early?”
“I was worried something might happen. You worked hard staying on duty all night. Nothing went wrong, did it?” Daniel asked anxiously.
After he went home, the more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. He had a nagging suspicion that his brother Edward wouldn't stay quiet.
There was no telling what he might do.
So, he came to the company first thing in the morning.
Elena smiled. “Dad, it was very quiet last night. Nothing happened at all. Don’t worry!”
“That’s good! I couldn’t sleep all night; my eyelid kept twitching. You must be tired. I’m here now, so you should go home and rest early.”
Elena nodded, planning to finish organizing the remaining documents first.
The financial accounts were a mess, and she needed to sort them out.
Just then, her phone buzzed. She checked it; it was a text from Dylan.
[Elena, good morning. Do you miss me? I miss you so much over here.]
[I miss you when I eat, I miss you when I walk, and when I sleep... I miss you too!]
Elena didn't know how to respond.
It was the crack of dawn, and this guy was already being ridiculous!
She was busy and didn't have time to entertain him.
On the other side of the world, Dylan was thoroughly disappointed when Elena didn't reply.
It was night where he was, and he was staying up late just to message her, yet his fiancée was ignoring him!
