And so, Elena stayed at Bianca’s apartment for half a month.

After two weeks, she was basically mobile again.

When Bianca came home, she would often find Elena had already cooked dinner and was waiting for her.

One day, Bianca returned from school.

She saw Elena watching TV, walked over, grabbed the remote, and turned it off.

“Hey, why are you being so petty? Why’d you turn off my show?”

“You’re healed now, right? Why haven’t you left yet?”

“I got used to it. Suddenly, I don’t want to leave. How about I just live with you for the rest of my life?” Elena batted her eyelashes.

“Get out! Who wants to live with you forever? If you don’t get out there, Dylan might end up spending the rest of his life with someone else!”

“What does that mean?”

“You really are living under a rock. I asked around and found out that rumors are spreading in the high-society circles. They say Dylan likes Isabella. You know Isabella, right? She’s a socialite. Can you even compare to her?”

“If he likes her, he likes her. What’s that got to do with me? We already broke up.”

“You really need a slap in the face! But I guess it makes sense. Isabella is class and elegance, way out of your league. Look at you now—uncouth, crossing your legs like a thug. If I were him, I’d choose Isabella too. I wouldn’t want you!”

Elena smiled at her. “You don’t want me, yet here I am in your house.”

“Don’t get smart. I’m kicking you out today. I can’t afford to feed you anymore. Mooching off me for this long… it’s annoying!”

“I’m not fully recovered yet, and you’re throwing me out!” Elena pouted.

“Don’t give me that puppy-dog look. That’s the face I hate the most!”

Elena walked over and draped an arm around her shoulder. “Come on, you hate it, but you still have to look at it. I haven’t been out in ages. Let’s go for a walk!”

Bianca glared at her, then went into her room to put on makeup and find something to wear.
