"Justin, there is nothing left for us to talk about. You are a married man now. Cherish what you have and move on!"
Claire and Elena walked away without looking back.
Justin stood there, feeling a deep sense of despair.
Once you miss your chance with some people, there is truly no turning back.
Dejected, Justin returned to the company.
As soon as he entered his office, he was surprised to see Cathy there.
"You're back? Where did you go?" Cathy asked, her arms crossed.
"Why are you here?"
"If I didn't come, were you planning on messing around at the office? Justin, where did you just go? I heard you went out with a female colleague. I am your wife!"
Cathy had had enough of staying at home these past few days.
She decided to return to work at the company, which also allowed her to keep an eye on Justin.
"You're crazy," Justin said coldly.
"Justin, let's just let the past stay in the past, okay? Let's reconcile. Now that we're both working at the company, if you and I join forces, we have a chance to kick my uncle out. With Grandma's affection for us, this company will belong to our family sooner or later! What do you think?" Cathy asked excitedly.
Justin looked up in disbelief. Cathy's twisted logic had once again stunned him.
"What are you saying? You want me to team up with you against the General Manager? That's your uncle! Your actual uncle!"
Cathy crossed her arms and sneered. "In this world, blood ties don't mean much! Justin, you know the situation in our family. My dad used to manage this company; our side of the family was in charge. But ever since my uncle's family came back, they've been fighting us for it. I've never been able to swallow that insult. You have to help me this time. With your help, I'm confident we can take the company back."
