"Theresa Graham, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today? You never argue this hard about anything. I'll tell you exactly why. When a rich heiress comes in for an internship, the people around her are obviously going to worry. Naturally, they'd pull strings to make sure she doesn't have a hard time. Or maybe the Chairman himself approved it. I heard he only has one precious daughter, so he definitely wouldn't want her suffering. Asking the staff to look out for her makes perfect sense!"
Theresa couldn't stop herself from muttering, "If only the Chairman was actually as nice as you guys make him out to be!"
Then she wouldn't be stuck here suffering and being looked down on by everyone!
She was officially the most miserable billionaire heiress alive!

At the Black Meridian Syndicate headquarters.
Tyler Smith was getting ready to head out to see Elena, looking incredibly excited.
Michelle walked up to him. "Tyler, are you heading out?"
"Yeah, I've got some business to take care of with the Boss."
"Let me come with you! I haven't seen Elena in so long!"
Tyler replied coldly, "No need. We're handling some actual business this time, and it'd be inconvenient to bring you along. Besides, don't you have things to do at your company? You should get back to work."
With that, Tyler turned and walked away.
Watching his cold, retreating figure, Michelle gripped her fingers tightly, feeling an overwhelming sense of loss and sorrow.
Normally, Tyler was as cold as ice around anyone else—a literal grim reaper with a permanently frozen expression.
Only in front of Elena did he ever smile like a carefree, happy kid.
Tyler stepped out and quickly met up with Elena.
"Boss, we're definitely catching Viper this time! Our guys finally spotted him at the docks. We're heading there right now!" Tyler said, his face glowing with excitement.
"You could have just let your men handle it. Why do you need to tag along?" Elena asked casually after getting into the car.
"No way. If there's something you need done, Boss, I have to be there with you! I just like working with you, heh!"
"Over there. It looks like he's trying to board a boat. We've had eyes on him this whole time."
Elena and Tyler immediately moved in. The area was packed with people, as several boats were actively unloading cargo.
With workers and dockhands bustling back and forth, the scene was utterly chaotic.
"Crap, I think he spotted us! Go! We just need to grab him!"
Elena and Tyler swiftly wove through the crowd. The man was on high alert and quickly started moving toward the densest part of the mob.
Taking a shortcut, Elena suddenly leaped out and blocked his path. "Where do you think you're going?"
The man, wearing a hat and sunglasses, took one look at Elena and instantly spun around to run.
Elena lunged at him. The man was highly skilled, successfully trading several blows with her.
A flash of surprise appeared in his eyes. He clearly hadn't expected a young woman to be this good of a fighter.
