"Grab him! Don't let him get away! Tie him up, and don't let him go until he stops crying!"
The two large men barged in, grabbed Ethan, and strapped him directly to a chair. They even found some paper towels and shoved them into his mouth to muffle his screams.
Daphne walked right up and slapped him hard across the face.
Smack!
"You little brat, keep crying, I dare you! So freakin' annoying! No food for him today. I bet he only has the energy to wail because he's too full. Starving him a bit will fix that!"
With that, Daphne slammed the door shut.
Outside the room, she and the two bodyguards lounged on the sofa, playing on their phones and munching on snacks.
There were many more clips just like this.
Scarlett turned away, her stomach churning with a mix of horror and nausea.
Elena immediately hit the pause button.
Daphne, meanwhile, collapsed onto the floor, her face ashen.
Trembling, Scarlett pointed at her. "Daphne, I wasted years trusting you. I always treated you like a sister! You were there when Ethan was born. You held him and kissed him when he was little. You watched him grow up! I thought you saw him as your own child, which is why I entrusted you with something so important—taking care of my boy. And yet, you abused him. You are completely heartless!"
For years, Daphne had been like her most trusted confidante, a loyal assistant she believed in implicitly.
And this was the ultimate betrayal she got in return.
Elena suddenly interjected, "I know why. Her goal was never the money or the house. She wanted to climb the social ladder! Daphne, if I'm not mistaken, you wanted to become Mr. Sinclair's next wife, didn't you?"
Hearing this, Scarlett's face changed drastically as she stared at the woman on the floor in utter disbelief.
Daphne let out a maniacal laugh. "Hahaha, you're pretty sharp, aren't you? After all the years I spent painstakingly waiting, you actually saw right through me!"
"That's right, I wanted to marry into the family. I was very pretty back in the day, and every time the boss came to visit Mrs. Sinclair, he would always sneak a few extra glances at me. He even said I looked a bit like her. I figured that if I just waited for her to step aside, maybe I'd have a chance! But I never expected her to send me away instead!"
