"Why are you still here?" Elena asked.

"I don't want to go back. I want to stay with you," Emily declared blatantly.

Elena scoffed. "And do what? Your best play right now is getting across the border where it's safe. Stop following me!"

"I helped you! You can't just toss me aside. Elena, I swear I'll behave. I won't cause any more trouble. Just let me stay with you!"

"You helped me, and I saved your life in return. We're even, Emily. Go back to Aethelgard and stop lingering around here. I can't guarantee the syndicates won't track you down."
