"Elena, what do you have to say about the incident with Mr. Lawson?"
Elena glanced at Elaine Turner, recounting the events exactly as they happened. "He didn't understand the design sketches at all, and he demanded I sleep with him. It was clearly intentional. He was disrespectful and refused to let me leave, so naturally, I beat him up. It's a good thing I was the one who went today. If it had been any other colleague who couldn't fight him off, wouldn't they have been ruined by Mr. Lawson?"
"A prestigious place like LUMEN Studio hasn't sunk so low that we need to rely on his tiny company to survive. It doesn't matter if we keep their partnership or not. What's more important is protecting the legal rights and personal safety of our employees. The women of LUMEN Studio should walk with their heads held high wherever they go, never allowing themselves to be looked down upon."
Clap, clap, clap!
Sienna Hayes suddenly started clapping.
"Well said," the Director announced. "Ms. Turner, did you hear that? Our people at LUMEN Studio are never subservient. When we step out those doors, we take pride in our studio. We don't wear shackles or let anyone push us around. As for that clothing company, I am officially terminating our partnership. I'll handle any breach of contract issues through legal channels. They assaulted our employee first, so they are in the wrong."
"Additionally," Elena added, "we need to sue Mr. Lawson for the personal harassment he caused me and hold him accountable for emotional distress."
Elaine's eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
Elena had beaten the man to a pulp, and before he could even demand compensation for his medical bills, she was turning the tables and suing him for emotional damage.
"Alright, then that's settled," Sienna told Elaine. "Ms. Turner, if any of your subordinates encounter clients like this in the future, you must report it up the chain. I won't have my employees suffering in silence. I want everyone to treat LUMEN Studio as their home, a home that provides a sense of security."
Elaine looked like a defeated hen.
She could only give a stiff nod. "Yes, Director."
Elaine had gone in full of eager anticipation but came out looking utterly crestfallen.
Nicole Evans spotted Elena and immediately asked, "How did it go? Why did Director Hayes want to see you? Are you still going to be able to stay?"
"Of course," Elena replied easily. "The Director said that if we ever face harassment from a client on the job, we should report it immediately. The company will handle it and ensure that no employee's safety is compromised."
