Rachel Ward couldn't help but ask, "Why, Lorna? Is there something special over there?"
"Well, that's where my parents live," Lorna lied without missing a beat. "My dad's study and his private reception rooms are all in that wing. He hates it when outsiders touch his things, so I hope you all understand."
"Of course! We completely understand. Don't worry," Rachel said quickly with a warm smile. "That's the Chairman's private residence. You couldn't pay us to go over there!"
Unlike the younger staff who blindly worshipped Lorna, Rachel had always been slightly skeptical of the girl's identity.
But standing in the middle of the Ellington estate as Lorna's guest, her doubts completely vanished.
Just then, Butler Avery walked out. He froze when he saw the massive crowd swarming the courtyard.
"Lorna!" he called out, shocked.
"Lorna, who's that? He's calling your name," Charles pointed out.
Lorna's face went pale.
She practically sprinted over to her father and pulled him aside. "Why did you just call me that? Didn't I warn you yesterday? These are my coworkers. You have to call me Miss Lorna!"
"Lorna, I thought about it, and this is completely inappropriate," Butler Avery whispered furiously.
"What's inappropriate? You agreed to it yesterday! What, you're backing out now that my colleagues are here? Are you trying to humiliate me?"
