Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 889

After a moment, the woman’s arrogant voice drifted out. "Bring it in."

The maid carefully carried the dessert inside and placed it on the table.

Everly glanced at it dismissively. "Just leave it there. You can go."

The maid’s voice trembled slightly. "Miss, Sir insisted that I watch you take at least a bite. He said you haven't been eating much lately and he's worried that if the banquet runs long, something might go wrong."

Everly’s face immediately brightened with joy. "Did Grandfather really say that?"

The maid nodded. "Yes, he gave the order himself. Please have some, Miss. If you lack the energy later and collapse, he will surely punish us."

"Fine, I understand. Since Grandfather personally ordered it, I'll have some." She walked to the table, picked up the bowl, and began to eat.

Seeing this, the maid whispered, "Please enjoy, Miss. I'll take my leave now; there are still things waiting for me in the kitchen."

Everly waved her off. "Alright, get out."

The maid exited the bedroom and glanced back at the closed door. A treacherous smile played on her lips before she turned and headed in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, at the Philips family estate.

Eric was pacing back and forth anxiously. This girl knew perfectly well how important tonight's banquet was, yet she was still nowhere to be found. With only three hours left, if she didn't return soon, they wouldn't make it in time.

Her eyes, in particular, were like clear spring water. With every glance, she exuded a noble and graceful aura that made others feel inferior, yet left them utterly enchanted.

Eric looked at her, his eyes filled with admiration. "Not bad, not bad at all. I guess the saying is true: clothes make the man—or in this case, the woman. Well done, Lilian. You are definitely going to steal the show tonight."

Lilian’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Eric and laughed. "I should say my cousin has excellent taste. This dress is beautiful; I love it. Besides, since we’re going there to crash the party, I have to outshine Everly, don't I?"

"Don't worry, you'll definitely make her feel ashamed of herself today," Eric said, crossing his arms and smiling.

Lilian glanced at her gown. "Good. That’s exactly the effect I'm going for. Let’s see if she still dares to lust after Sebastian after today."
