Loyce set down the data in her hands and walked into the study, only to find the old man looking solemn, holding a file folder.
"Loyce, you're here. Come sit with Grandpa."
Loyce sat beside him and noticed an invitation resting on the desk. Her eyes flickered. "Uncle Edgar is hosting a housewarming party and invited me?"
"Not just that," Gordon Lonsdale said. "He also wants to discuss the transfer of power and equity regarding Macrostar Production with you."
The old man handed the folder to her and continued:
"Back when you were just born, your parents made it clear that whatever your brothers had, you must have too. The boys and girls in our family are all our precious treasures. So, ever since you were born, the ownership of Macrostar Production was signed over to you by your parents. It's just that such a massive accident happened that year..."
Bringing up the tragic car crash that had claimed the lives of his son and daughter-in-law on the spot made Gordon's mood visibly dip. "And then you went missing after the accident. The Lonsdale family searched with everything we had but came up empty. Over the years, this old man has gotten older and my energy is limited. Your brothers all have their own duties and are incredibly busy, so no one had the time to manage such a massive asset. In the end, I temporarily handed it over to Edgar to handle."
At this point, Gordon let out a soft sigh. "Who would have thought that we wouldn't find you for nearly twenty years? With the Lonsdale family's backing, your uncle has managed Macrostar Production quite well. Now, the main internal shareholders and core figures all answer to him. He has deeply rooted himself in Macrostar."
Loyce flipped through the Macrostar Production documents in her hands. The company mainly dealt in real estate and fashion brand management. Among them was a highly recognizable women's clothing brand on the market called 'Élégance', which Alicia Seabrook had helped found. Following the brand's massive success, she and her husband, Edgar Lonsdale, had also made many private investments.
Because they hid it so well, Gordon wasn't clear on the specific investment profits and losses.
