She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 504

Loyce handed him a weathered, yellowed non-disclosure agreement. Though the edges were frayed, the ink was perfectly legible. "I was abandoned in Hayworth County. This woman, Cassie, was hired to kidnap me and traffic me into Yavon County."

Forrest's brow furrowed, a wave of profound guilt washing over him. "Hank went looking for you in Yavon County back then, but he didn't find anything. We were so close. We just brushed past each other, and you were left to suffer all those years."

Loyce shook her head gently. "It's okay."

"Alicia planned all of this. Yavon Loom Factory was how she laundered her money. It was just a massive transaction to her." Forrest's eyes went glacial, a dangerous, dark aura radiating from him. "But why target you? You were just an innocent little girl. The assets Mom and Dad left for you were a fraction of what I inherited. You were never a threat to them."

"That's why I think someone else was pulling the strings," Loyce said, her voice dropping. "Mom and Dad's deaths weren't an accident. I think they discovered a secret they weren't supposed to know, and they were silenced."

For years, the family had accepted the tragedy as a horrific car crash. But Loyce's words threw everything into a terrifying new light.

"What secret?" Forrest asked, bewildered. "We ran a clean business. Whose toes could we have possibly stepped on?"

Loyce shook her head. "I don't know. That's why I need to break Alicia. Forrest, I want to destroy the Seabrook family and Uncle Edgar. Will Grandpa be angry?"

"I certainly will not."

Gordon Lonsdale stepped into the room, having listened at the door for God knows how long. His eyes were burning with fierce determination. "I told you, you are only taking back what is rightfully yours. Besides, they are just an insignificant branch family. How could they ever compare to my precious granddaughter?"

Loyce turned and smiled warmly. "Grandpa. How are you feeling lately?"

"With the herbal tea you brew for me every day and the holistic meals the chefs prepare under your instructions, how could I be anything but fantastic? Look at me! I don't even need my cane anymore. I walk faster than half the young men in this house!"

Gordon tapped her nose affectionately, his face radiating pure love. "Whatever you need to do, I support you. But for the next couple of days, just stay home and keep your old grandfather company. Your brothers and I have been planning your homecoming banquet. We want to formally introduce you to high society."

"We've waited a very long time for this day," Forrest added, his voice gentle. "I want the whole world to know that you are the princess of the Lonsdale family."

...

The Lonsdale Manor was undergoing a massive, extravagant renovation purely for Loyce's homecoming banquet. The family was throwing money around as if it were water. Every single invitation sent out included a solid gold keepsake weighing 88 grams. They sent out over a thousand of them. Even the press invited to cover the event received the gold, down to the lowly sound assistants holding the boom mics!

These working-class reporters had never seen anything like it. The 88 grams of gold alone was worth around eight thousand dollars—more than what some of them made in half a year!

Instantly, the rumors that Loyce was a neglected, unwanted daughter were incinerated. The bribed media spared no ink praising the Lonsdale family's overwhelming devotion to their long-lost heiress.

The internet exploded with the news.
