Sybil knew her family's situation perfectly well. Her parents wouldn't care about her. Her father was trying to marry her off to a sixty-year-old man; there was no way he'd pay a hundred million for ransom.

Her luck was completely rotten!

Seeing her silence, the kidnappers finally focused on Thane. "Don't tell me we just kidnapped three broke losers. If that's the case, we might as well just kill you and bury the bodies so we didn't waste our time."

Seeing the kidnapper pull out a knife and point it at them, Sybil completely broke down and pointed at Thane. "He's the sole heir of the Crown family! His parents won't just leave him to die!"

The kidnapper tossed the burner phone to Thane. "Then call your mommy and daddy."

Though terrified, Thane's remaining pride made him grit his teeth. "My parents won't give you any money! I was kicked out of the family!"

Even as he said it, a sliver of hope still lingered in his heart. He felt that if they made the call, his parents would definitely come save him. He just couldn't bring himself to swallow his pride and beg.

The kidnapper seemed to expect this and sneered. He kicked the phone back to Sybil. "Then you call! Let's see if this family can save your precious boyfriend."

Trembling, Sybil picked up the phone. She had Mrs. Crown's number memorized and dialed it. The moment it connected, she screamed through her tears, "Mrs. Crown! Help! Thane and I have been kidnapped! They want a hundred million! Please, save us!"

On the other end of the line, Mrs. Crown's voice was eerily calm, even cold. "Sybil, you couldn't marry into our family, so now you're trying to scam me?"

Sybil shrieked, "It's true! It's true! Mrs. Crown! Don't you care about your son's life?!"

Mrs. Crown remained unfazed. "Are you confused? The Crown family only has one son, and his name is Elior. Who is Thane? We don't know anyone by that name."

Meeting the kidnapper's vicious glare, Sybil trembled violently and babbled, "She probably just doesn't believe me! We have to send a video to prove it!"

Soon, a video of the two being held hostage was sent to Mrs. Crown's phone. The kidnapper even purposely nicked Thane's skin with a knife to prove the kidnapping was real.
