"Correct," Luna answered, her voice slightly dry.
On the other side of the lineup, Robert also got his question right. He leaned over and whispered to Loyce, "Don't get jealous now. Rapid visual processing is Day One training for a recon sniper. It's just muscle memory. The Boss isn't actually checking her out, I swear."
Loyce laughed softly. "I know. I've already memorized every single detail of your outfit, too."
Robert didn't doubt her for a second. He flashed a wide grin. "We're definitely taking first place."
As the rapid-fire questions for the men continued, Lucian didn't miss a single detail. When asked about Luna's manicure, he not only nailed the base color but flawlessly described whether the tiny rhinestones on her acrylics were shaped like stars or hearts.
Most of the men failed miserably during this round, including Robert. He had absolutely no idea what Loyce's nails looked like. When the answer was revealed, Loyce simply held up her hands to show she didn't wear acrylics at all—as a trauma surgeon and a mechanical engineer, long nails were a hazard.
By the end of the men's round, Lucian's score was flawless.
Unable to hold back, Luna leaned back slightly and whispered, "Were you really paying that much attention to me, Lucian? You memorized every tiny detail."
Lucian glanced at her over his shoulder. His voice was flat and brutally dismissive. "If a stray dog stood in front of me for a minute, I'd memorize its details too."
Luna's face burned crimson. "You—!"
Lucian remained expressionless, completely shutting down whatever twisted fantasy she was brewing in her head. He didn't give her an inch of dignity.
Next, it was the women's turn to answer.
As the host moved to Loyce, someone in the crowd yelled, "The Admiral got a perfect score! No pressure, Loyce!"
Loyce smiled confidently. "Bring it on."
"What color is Robert's watch strap?"
"Brown leather."
"What pattern is his tie?"
"Blue and white diagonal stripes."
