She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 802

Yuna’s heart skipped a beat. Usually, when a girl asked a question like that, it meant she wanted it. If Loyce bought the bag, didn't that mean she’d get the matching one?

Given her family's recent downfall, Yuna never expected such a stroke of luck to fall into her lap.

She turned to Luna, unleashing a fresh wave of venom. "What do you mean, looking down on you? The associate is just stating facts. You only have money because a man throws you his spare change. Once a gold digger like you runs out of men to leech off of, could you even afford a dust bag? And you have the nerve to fight Loyce for something? Take a good look in the mirror."

Luna was used to being worshipped. Her vocabulary for insults was limited to basic curses and empty threats. Being tag-teamed by Yuna and Nightingale’s sharp tongues left her red-faced and hyperventilating. She couldn't win this verbal spar, and she was losing her mind.

Loyce took a sip of water from a glass a staff member handed her. Another associate thoughtfully leaned in. "Ms. Lonsdale, it’s getting a bit loud out here. Would you prefer to step into the VIP lounge? I can bring you some coffee and arrange for models to show you how the bags pair with our latest ready-to-wear pieces."

Loyce waved a hand dismissively. "No need. I’ll just book out the entire store." She tapped the glass case holding the limited-edition bag. "This one. Do you have two?"

"We only have this single piece in the boutique right now," the associate replied. "Any additional orders would be put on a waitlist. Since it’s a master artisan piece, the next shipment won't arrive for at least three months."

Yuna’s eyes widened. "Are... are you buying it for me?"

"Didn't we agree on matching?" Loyce smiled. "But if you don't want to wait, you can pick a different style."

"I'll wait!" Yuna said fiercely. "I'll wait as long as it takes!"

She then shot Luna an arrogant glare. "Didn't you hear? We’re booking the whole store. Don't let a beggar ruin our mood."

"I was here first! I’m swiping my card!" Luna shrieked. "First come, first served. Don't you understand?"

She yanked a credit card out of her purse and shoved it at the staff. "If you don't run this card right now, I swear you’ll all regret it."

Nightingale glanced at Loyce for permission, knowing Luna was purely looking for revenge at this point.

Loyce gave a nearly imperceptible nod. She didn't want innocent staff members getting caught in the crossfire of Luna's tantrum.

So, Nightingale took the card and ran it.

Luna finally felt a shred of vindication. However...

Nightingale looked at the terminal and raised a perfectly sculpted eyebrow. "Miss, your card was declined. Insufficient funds."
