She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 803

The harsh sunlight outside did nothing to chase away the dark chill Luna left in her wake.

Inside the boutique, Yuna had been genuinely rattled by the murderous intent in Luna’s eyes. She turned to Loyce, looking uneasy. "Loyce... is she actually crazy?"

Loyce watched the spot where Luna had disappeared, a faint, almost invisible smile playing on her lips. "I’m counting on it."

Only complete loss of control could lure out the bigger fish.

She accepted the limited-edition handbag Nightingale handed her—the very same one that had sparked the altercation—ran her fingers over the cool, exotic leather, and casually tossed it to Yuna.

"It's yours."

Yuna blinked, stunned. "You're giving it to me right now? What about your matching one?"

Loyce glanced at the bag. "It's not really my style. Consider it your compensation."

Compensation?

It wasn't until the others had dispersed that it finally clicked for Yuna. Loyce had done all of that on purpose?

The sales associates dropped their snobby facades and went back to unlocking the boutique doors for general customers. Yuna realized the truth.

It had all been a theatrical setup. Loyce had deliberately provoked that girl. With that in mind, Yuna was no longer afraid of any death threats. It was all clearly playing out exactly as the brilliantly cunning Loyce had anticipated.

Hugging the bag to her chest, she left in exceptionally high spirits.

...

When Luna returned, she got into a massive screaming match with Channing. He was equally frustrated. It was true he had a substantial amount of money in overseas accounts—more than enough to buy her dozens of those bags. But the problem was that the bulk of his funds were tied to Ares Global. He couldn't transfer the money to any domestic accounts because Lucian was notoriously thorough. Lucian would undoubtedly be investigating the finances of his suddenly revealed 'brother.'

Even the slightest suspicious transaction would blow their cover.

Luna reluctantly accepted the explanation, but it did nothing to lessen the burning hatred she felt toward Loyce for the humiliation she had endured.

Soon enough, her opportunity for revenge arrived.

Her father had sent a team of elite operatives who had already infiltrated the country to bring her home.
